Now you can order medicine online in the UAE with talabat app. In this regard, Aster Pharmacy has signed an agreement with talabat UAE, which allows customers to purchase prescription medicines through the app. Aster Pharmacy is a leading pharmacy chain in the UAE owned by Aster DM Healthcare.
Starting from February 2023, talabat users can easily and securely upload their medical prescriptions to the app, which will then be sent to Aster Pharmacy for delivery. The delivery time for prescription medicines is expected to be within 90 minutes, while over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and health and wellness items will have a delivery time of 30 minutes or less.
How to order medicine online in UAE:
- talabat users upload their medical prescription, Emirates ID and insurance details through the app.
- Pharmacists from Aster Pharmacy will contact them for any feedback on insurance approvals, counsel on dosage and consumption instructions, as well as answer any questions on the medicines.
- The service will be available between 10 am to 10 pm in Dubai, during the first phase of the launch.
talabat has put in place a tech-based system to ensure the privacy and security of prescription medicine purchases. The system ensures that any data uploaded as part of the process is not visible or stored within the talabat app. Instead, it is transmitted directly to the systems of Aster Pharmacy, a licensed healthcare provider, which will review and process the uploaded documents.
