An Abu Dhabi-based Indian expatriate has won a Dhs2 million grand prize in Sharjah Islamic Bank’s latest “SIB Millionaire” savings campaign draw, held at the bank’s head office branch in Sharjah.
The winner, Shajeer Venga, 34, opened his savings account through the SIB Digital App less than two months ago before securing the top prize.

Speaking after the draw, Shajeer said he had followed the campaign for some time and hoped to become one of its winners.
He said the Dhs2 million prize would help him invest in his future and bring his family from India to live with him in the UAE.
Other winners
The draw also awarded a BMW XM luxury vehicle to Moza Butti, a UAE national. In addition, 40 participants received cash prizes.
The SIB Millionaire campaign is open to UAE nationals and residents of all nationalities. According to the bank, the programme offers prizes worth more than Dhs20 million, including cash rewards and luxury vehicles.
Savings campaign
Customers receive one entry into the draw for every Dhs10,000 maintained in their savings account.

Next draw
The bank said its next draw will be held next month and will include two grand prizes of Dhs1 million each, one reserved for UAE nationals and another open to all nationalities, along with 40 additional cash prizes.
