Emirates A350 operates first flight from Dubai to Edinburgh

Emirates will broadcast every match of the FIFA World Cup 26™ live onboard its flights, allowing passengers to follow the tournament while travelling between Mexico and the United States, where the event runs from the opening ceremony today until the final on July 19.

Live onboard coverage

The airline will show all matches through its dedicated sports channel, Sport 24 on ice, ensuring live coverage of one of the world’s most-watched sporting events.

Passengers will be able to watch matches at 40,000 feet, with the full tournament schedule available onboard so travellers can track fixtures throughout the competition.

Match schedule access

Emirates has included the complete FIFA World Cup 26™ live broadcast schedule in the June edition of its ice magazine.

The guide is intended to help passengers stay updated and plan viewing during their flights.

Live TV services, including Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra, are available on most Emirates flights, although availability may vary depending on aircraft type and route.

Lounge screenings

Selected FIFA World Cup 26™ matches will also be screened in Emirates Lounges in Dubai where possible.

The airline said this will allow passengers in transit or waiting for flights to follow key matches on the ground as well.

Alongside football coverage, Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra on ice will broadcast a range of other major sporting events in June and July.

These include the NBA Finals from June 4 to 20, the Canada Sail Grand Prix in Halifax on June 20 and 21, the Formula 1® Moët & Chandon Belgian Grand Prix on July 19, and the Formula 1® AWS Hungarian Grand Prix on July 26.
