Union Coop has announced discounts of up to 60 percent on more than 3,000 products as part of its Ramadan campaign, alongside price freezes on key essentials to support families during the holy month.
The details were shared during a press conference at the cooperative’s headquarters in Al Warqa City Mall, attended by CEO Mohamed Al Hashemi, representatives from the Ministry of Economy, media and department heads.
Ramadan discounts
The campaign covers food and non-food items including rice, oils, flour, sugar, poultry, eggs, dates and fresh and frozen products. The offers are available across all Union Coop branches, its online store and the Tamayaz app.
Prices of more than 160 essential goods have been frozen to maintain stability throughout Ramadan.
Al Hashemi said the campaign supports the UAE’s Year of the Family initiative and aligns with national efforts to ease living costs during the month. He noted that Union Coop offers more than 6,000 locally produced products and continues its price reduction and stabilisation programme launched three years ago, with product lists reviewed monthly based on demand.
Prize campaign
Under the “More Ramadan Blessings on Your Table” campaign, running until March 23, 2026, customers who spend Dhs150 and scan their Tamayaz account will enter weekly draws. Ten winners will receive Dhs1,000 each week, while two Jetour vehicles will be awarded in monthly draws.
Union Coop will also introduce app-exclusive offers and interactive digital features. In-store cooking sessions are scheduled from February 13 to 15, along with Iftar-time distribution of dates and water.
Community initiatives
The cooperative will continue the “Your Iftar is Their Suhoor” initiative for the eighth consecutive year to reduce food waste and promote sustainability.
Additional efforts include blood donation campaigns in partnership with Dubai Health Authority and digital charity contributions through the Tarahum platform using QR codes to support Ramadan food box distribution.
Union Coop said it is strengthening food security through partnerships with more than 33 local farms and an international supply network. Delivery services will continue during Ramadan to improve convenience and reduce congestion.
Al Hashemi said the campaign reflects the cooperative’s continued social and economic commitment to supporting families during Ramadan.
