Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal has introduced a new 7kg free carry-on allowance for passengers booking its most basic fare, “fly,” aiming to make travel more convenient for budget-conscious travellers.
The airline says the move addresses growing passenger demand for flexibility and ease when travelling with essentials.
The new benefit applies across all domestic routes in Saudi Arabia and international flights from flyadeal’s bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah. Passengers booking the “fly” bundle can now carry up to 7kg of hand luggage free of charge.
Fare flexibility
In addition to the hand baggage allowance, flyadeal is updating other fare features. Customers can make free date changes for “fly” and “fly+” bookings within two hours of reservation, with a small service fee for changes up to 90 minutes before departure.
Passengers purchasing the top-tier flyMax fares can enjoy unlimited flight changes up to 90 minutes before departure and full refunds for cancellations up to three days before a flight.
Abdullah Adel Alahmadi, flyadeal Senior Ancillary and Loyalty Manager, said: “By offering 7kg free carry-on on our most basic bundle, passengers can travel with confidence of being able to avail the lowest fares knowing they can carry more essentials onboard. We also realise passengers sometimes need greater understanding of our benefits being more flexible, helping them make decision-making much easier, and taking the stress out of travel planning.”
Flyadeal operates more than 30 domestic and international destinations across the Middle East, Europe, North Africa, and South Asia, using a modern fleet of 44 Airbus A320 family aircraft.
