The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has begun a promotional roadshow across Eastern Europe to promote the emirate as a tourism destination. The initiative will run from October 26 to 31, 2025, under the leadership of Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD.
The roadshow will include three cities: Warsaw in Poland, Budapest in Hungary, and Prague in the Czech Republic. The delegation will meet tourism stakeholders, travel agencies, and other industry players to explore collaboration opportunities, expand international partnerships, and highlight Ajman’s tourism and investment offerings.
Strategy and objectives
Alhashmi said: “This tour marks a pivotal milestone in our journey to broaden our network of international partners and open new avenues of collaboration with emerging European markets. Guided by a clear vision, we are committed to positioning Ajman as a leading tourism destination, offering a harmonious blend of authentic Emirati heritage and modern sophistication, delivering distinctive experiences that resonate with today’s travelers.”
He added: “We are working to strengthen Ajman’s presence on the regional and global tourism map through targeted initiatives that diversify our source markets and elevate the emirate’s appeal as a hub for premium hospitality and tourism investment. We are confident this tour will be a meaningful step towards forging strategic partnerships that support our goals for sustainable tourism development and reinforce the emirate’s role within the national tourism landscape.”
Visitor trends
Eastern European tourists have shown increasing interest in UAE destinations due to their cultural and entertainment offerings. The roadshow is expected to raise awareness of Ajman as a destination that blends Emirati heritage with contemporary appeal. Recent trends indicate higher hotel occupancy and longer overnight stays in Ajman compared to 2023 and 2024.
The tour will also focus on establishing partnerships with tourism companies in Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. The initiative aims to encourage the exchange of marketing expertise and support sustainable tourism development while contributing to the emirate’s economic growth.
