Tanishq Middle East has introduced a new festive jewellery line, Onam Ormakal, across its stores in the UAE, Qatar, and Oman.

The collection pays tribute to Kerala’s cultural heritage and the traditional celebrations of Onam, one of the region’s most significant harvest festivals.

Inspired by Kerala traditions

Drawing influence from key elements of Kerala’s festive identity — such as the floral Pookkalam, classical Mohiniyattam dance, temple architecture, and the vibrancy of Thrissur Pooram — the collection blends traditional motifs with modern design.

Materials and features include Palakka stones, Kasu coins, Thumba flower details, and temple engravings.

The jewellery line includes pieces like the 3-tiered Chakopara Bead Necklace, Thumba Garland Necklace Set, Theyyam Pillars Necklace Set, Pooram Harmony Haaram, Green Wings Necklace Set, and Mural Panel Necklace Set.

According to Tanishq Middle East, the collection is designed not just as adornment but as a way for the South Indian diaspora to connect with their cultural roots. “These creations are crafted to evoke memory and meaning — helping wearers relive cherished traditions while creating new moments of joy and celebration,” the company stated.

Onam Ormakal is now available in Tanishq outlets located in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Doha, and Muscat.
