The UAE’s cut flower market is expected to grow at an annual rate of 13.7% until 2028, driven by rising demand in hospitality, luxury retail, and high-profile events.

To support this growth, MyPlant & Garden Middle East is set to launch its inaugural B2B floral and horticulture event from November 15 to 17, 2025, at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai.

Dubai’s emergence as a key destination for luxury weddings and international events has boosted the demand for premium floral products.

In 2023, flower imports to the UAE surpassed $70 million, reflecting strong interest from corporate buyers, event planners, and retailers. Government initiatives, including the Dubai Flower Centre—which handles over 150,000 tons of floral cargo annually—are strengthening the sector’s infrastructure.

Local growers are also expanding production, focusing on roses and long-lasting flowers such as tulips, gerberas, and chrysanthemums. With over 20 million tourists expected each year and a $70 billion regional events industry, the UAE offers significant opportunities for global suppliers.

Industry platform launch

MyPlant & Garden Middle East aims to bring together industry professionals in floriculture and horticulture. The event will feature a wide range of products and services, including fresh-cut flowers, ornamental plants, nursery systems, greenhouse technology, floral design, and retail solutions. It will provide a platform for trade matchmaking and visibility, connecting suppliers with buyers from hospitality, retail, real estate, and government sectors.

Valeria Randazzo, Exhibition Director of MyPlant & Garden Middle East, said, “The UAE is rapidly evolving into a powerhouse floral economy. This goes far beyond aesthetics—it’s now about scale, supply chains and serious market access. This expo connects global suppliers directly with regional buyers at a time when the market is primed for innovation, investment and long-term growth. We’re calling on florists, nurseries, growers, wholesalers and suppliers to be part of the region’s most dynamic B2B platform for plants, flowers, landscaping, and outdoor living.”

Following its success in Milan, where it attracted over 810 exhibitors and 27,000 trade visitors from 40 countries, MyPlant & Garden brings its internationally recognised platform to the Middle East. The 2025 event will connect global exhibitors with high-value regional buyers, fostering new business opportunities and partnerships within the UAE’s growing green economy.
