Following strong demand since its February launch in the UAE, Huawei has introduced a new 512GB variant of the HUAWEI Mate XT | ULTIMATE DESIGN, the world’s first commercial tri-fold smartphone.
The new model offers a more accessible price point and is now available across Huawei’s online channels and select retail stores in the UAE.
The updated version is priced at Dhs 10,999, and comes bundled with free gifts worth Dhs 2,898.
Initially launched with a 1TB storage option, Huawei’s decision to offer a 512GB version is aimed at reaching a wider audience.
Tablet-sized display
The HUAWEI Mate XT transforms from a compact phone into a 10.2-inch tablet when fully unfolded, offering users an all-in-one device experience. When folded, the device remains only slightly thicker than standard smartphones.
Huawei claims that, when open, the Mate XT is the thinnest foldable phone in the world, at just 3.6mm.
The device debuts the 3K HUAWEI X-True™ Display, which supports Multiview in One—allowing users to shift seamlessly between single, dual, and triple-screen modes. This flexibility reimagines how users can switch between smartphone, tablet, and laptop-style functions.
Camera and build
Equipped with the HUAWEI XMAGE camera system, the Mate XT offers a 10-step adjustable aperture and covers focal lengths from ultra-wide to 5.5x telephoto. The Ultra Speed Snapshot feature enables sharp images even with fast-moving subjects.
Central to the Mate XT’s design is its tri-fold hinge, which folds both inward and outward while maintaining a slim profile. Constructed with ultra-high strength steel, the hinge system is engineered for long-term durability under frequent use.
The phone also features ultra-thin leather backing, giving it a premium finish that matches its high-end engineering. Huawei notes that this level of foldable performance is the result of “a slew of innovations” aimed at combining luxury with everyday usability.
With the 512GB edition, Huawei says it is “making its latest and greatest smartphone innovation more accessible than ever.”
