In a significant move aimed at enhancing road safety and easing financial pressures on residents, Ajman Police has unveiled a 50% reduction in traffic fines.

This initiative, announced following directives from Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, will take effect from November 4 and run until December 15, 2024.

The reduction applies to all traffic violations incurred in Ajman prior to October 31, 2024, and will include the cancellation of vehicle impoundments and recorded black points — except for severe violations.

Major General Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to promote road safety and enhance public satisfaction.

Exclusions to this reduction include serious offenses such as reckless driving, dangerous overtaking, and exceeding the speed limit by more than 80 km/h, as well as violations involving unauthorized vehicle modifications and running red lights. It’s important to note that the cancellation of vehicle impoundment applies only to light vehicles and motorcycles.

Major General Al Nuaimi encouraged vehicle owners to take advantage of this opportunity to settle their outstanding fines while urging all drivers to adhere to traffic regulations for the safety of the community. He highlighted that this decision reflects a commitment to support individuals facing social and economic challenges.
