Vehicle registration process
Vehicles are registered with the traffic department of each emirate through authorized service centers, websites, or smart apps. New vehicles bought from authorized dealers are registered directly by the agency, which handles all necessary procedures, according to Al Khaleej.
To complete the registration, the following requirements must be met:
- The vehicle must pass inspection at an authorized center (except vehicles less than three years old).
- The vehicle must be insured by an authorized insurance company.
- All fines must be cleared before registration.
This process ensures that vehicles meet safety and legal standards for driving in the UAE, contributing to safer roads and more efficient vehicle management.
