Families preparing for the new school year can find discounts of up to 50% on school supplies and other essentials at Sharjah Cooperative’s back-to-school campaign, which runs until September 15.
The campaign covers stationery, school bags, notebooks, electronics, food and other products across more than 80 Sharjah Coop outlets and its online platforms.
It also includes a prize draw with 15 cars and 100 gift cards worth Dhs 500 each.
Up to 50% discount
Sharjah Coop said the campaign will cover about 300 products initially, expanding to around 1,000 items during the campaign.
The offers include school bags, pencils, notebooks and other stationery, as well as electronics at larger branches. The cooperative is also working with suppliers to provide discounts and payment options on selected electronic products.
Faisal Khalid Al Nabooda, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Sharjah Cooperative, said the back-to-school period brings higher expenses for families, which is why the cooperative has expanded its range of products across different price points.
He said school preparation now goes beyond traditional stationery and includes educational technology, food and healthier options.
15 cars to win
Shoppers who spend Dhs 300 or more in stores or through the online store can enter the prize draw.
The prizes include one INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster Fieldmaster, seven Geely Coolray cars and seven Suzuki Baleno cars. There are also 100 gift cards worth Dhs 500 each, bringing the total value of the gift cards to Dhs 50,000.

The draw will take place after the campaign ends on September 15, with the process conducted under the supervision of Sharjah’s economic authorities. A total of 115 winners will be selected.
Supporting local families
The campaign also includes space for home-based businesses and local producers. According to Al Nabooda, Sharjah Coop supports different families and small businesses by giving them space to display and sell their products in its branches, with new businesses featured on a weekly basis.
The cooperative is also giving greater visibility to UAE-made products during the back-to-school period.
Sharjah Coop said the campaign is part of its wider community work. The cooperative works with government and community organisations to support families and other groups, including through programmes for people with limited incomes and initiatives for shareholders.
The cooperative has more than 80 outlets across Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, including areas such as Al Dhaid, Madam, Khor Fakkan, Kalba and Dibba. Its online service also delivers to Sharjah and parts of Ajman and Dubai. The total budget allocated for the back-to-school campaign is Dhs 2 million.
