Dubai has achieved a notable milestone in global competitiveness, moving up three places to secure the seventh spot in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2024, published by Switzerland’s Institute for Management Development. This rise highlights the UAE’s strong performance across more than 90 key indicators of global competitiveness.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, shared the news on X platform, commending the collaborative efforts of teams across governmental, economic, and development sectors. He praised their dedication in advancing the UAE’s growth and expressed optimism for the future, stating, “the best is yet to come.”
The annual report serves as a valuable tool for benchmarking countries and companies, offering insights into factors that enhance competitiveness. This year, Saudi Arabia also made progress, climbing one spot, driven by improvements in business laws and infrastructure, placing fourth among G20 nations.
