UAE-based Hotpack earns EcoVadis Gold for sustainability

UAE-based packaging manufacturer Hotpack has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, placing it among the top 5 percent of over 150,000 companies assessed globally for sustainability performance.

Sustainability rating leader

EcoVadis is a leading global provider of business sustainability ratings, evaluating companies based on four key pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Hotpack achieved an overall score of 80 out of 100 in the 2025 assessment, earning a 97th percentile ranking. The recognition reflects the group’s adherence to environmental management systems and governance practices across its operations.

“This Gold Medal is a proud milestone for the Group and a powerful validation of our sustainability strategy,” said Abdul Jebbar PB, Group CEO & Managing Director of Hotpack. “We have integrated sustainability into the fabric of our operations—from reducing emissions and transitioning to renewable energy to advancing labor rights, ethical governance, and responsible sourcing.”

Zainudeen PB, Group COO & Executive Director, added, “This recognition is a marker of where we are today and evidence of how seriously we take our responsibility toward future generations. We continue to enhance traceability in our supply chain, invest in renewable energy, and drive impact through community and employee-centred initiatives.”

Anvar PB, Group CTO & Executive Director, said, “EcoVadis Gold medal reflects our evolution into a purpose-led business. At Hotpack, innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. We have always believed that strong ESG performance is critical for future-ready growth. This medal signals to our stakeholders—customers, partners, and employees—that we are committed to transparency, measurable impact, and continuous improvement.”

Recent sustainability progress

The Gold Medal follows Hotpack’s “Committed” rating from EcoVadis in 2024. In the past year, the company published its 2024 Group Sustainability Report, completed a Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) assessment, and secured ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications for its 20 manufacturing facilities.

With operations in 17 countries and over 4,300 employees, Hotpack produces more than 4,000 sustainable packaging and hygiene products. The company continues to invest in solar energy projects, employee well-being initiatives, and sustainable product development as part of its long-term Net Zero 2050 goal.
