Oman announces holiday due to unstable weather

The Ministry of Labour in Oman has announced a holiday for all employees, both in the public and private sectors, on Monday, February 12, 2024, due to the unstable weather conditions across the country. However, this holiday does not apply to employees in the Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates.

“In view of the inclement weather, it has been decided that Monday (February 12, 2024) will be an official holiday for govt employees and workers in the private sector establishments in all governorates, except Dhofar and Al Wusta,” a statement from Ministry of Labour said.

In addition, the Ministry of Education has decided to suspend classes for all public, private, and international schools nationwide, excluding those in Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates, on Monday, February 12, due to the same weather conditions.
