The procedures for acquiring and automating the new Saudi entry visa have been streamlined.

The stopover transit visa enables individuals passing through the Kingdom to perform Umrah in Makkah, visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina, take in the sights during leisurely travels and attend tourist events.

Travelers purchasing tickets for their visit to the Kingdom through Saudia Airlines and Flynas will be directed to the unified national visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for visa processing.

Upon successful processing of an application, approval will be granted automatically, and a notification will be sent via email to the passenger.

The Ministry emphasized that the transit visa for stopovers will support the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by enhancing its status and taking advantage of its prime location as a connection between continents, a hub for travelers and a top tourist destination.
