Dubai golden visa for private school teachers

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced that private schools in Dubai will not undergo regular inspections or evaluations during the 2025–2026 academic year.

Targeted monitoring to continue

The suspension applies to all private schools, except for newly established schools entering their fourth year, which will undergo full inspections for the first time. KHDA stated it will continue to carry out targeted visits focusing on specific areas related to educational quality and ongoing improvement.

These visits will be guided by the goals of Dubai’s Education Strategy and feedback gathered from the school community.

Private schools are expected to maintain external benchmark assessments to track students’ academic progress. Schools will also be required to provide periodic updates through self-evaluation models.

Opportunity for reflection

Fatima Ibrahim Al Rahief, Executive Director of the Education Quality Assurance and Compliance Sector at KHDA, said:
“Private schools in Dubai continue to demonstrate high resilience, innovation, and a strong commitment to student education and improving their quality of life. Suspending school inspections during the upcoming academic year provides an opportunity for reflection and enhanced collaboration on the best ways to support educational quality.”

She added: “Through visits and continuous engagement with schools, we ensure that every child in Dubai receives high-quality education aligned with the aspirations of our wise leadership and the Education Strategy.”
