New public bus route launched from Ras Al Khaimah to Global Village in Dubai

Are you a Ras Al Khaimah resident and don’t have a car to visit the Global Village in Dubai, here is good news for you. Now you can take a public bus ride right from the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to Global Village. A one-way ticket costs Dhs30.

The bus route was launched by Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) in co-operation with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai and the Global Village.

The move aims to facilitate mass transport users wishing to visit the popular entertainment destination Global Village.

The decision to launch the bus service was taken in response to high demand from Ras Al Khaimah residents wishing to visit the Global Village.

 Ras Al Khaimah to Global Village bus route

The bus service is available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with two round trips.

Trips from the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to Global Village in Dubai are scheduled at 3:00pm and 5:00pm, while those from the family-friendly destination, back to Ras Al Khaimah are at 10:00pm and 12:00am.

The service is provided during the weekends from the main bus station in Ras Al Khaimah to the public bus stops in Global Village.

Commuters wishing to visit Global Village can book the tickets online and pay on the smart app RAKBus, which is available on Apple Store and Google Play platforms.

Customers can view the schedule of the trip by visiting RAKTA’s website: rakta.gov.ae.

Mohamed Hashem Esmaeel, Director of Quality and Operations Control Department at RAKTA, said that the launch of the bus route represents a quick response to the needs of commuters

Adel Shakri, Director of the Planning and Business Development Department at the Public Transport Agency at the RTA Dubai, the service will expand and mass transportation between Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

Muhannad Ishaq, Senior Director of Guest Relations at Global Village, said: “We look forward to welcoming more of our guests from the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah who will benefit from the new route to join us with their families and friends.”
