Abu Dhabi draws global investors for MENA Investment Congress 2025

The MENA Investment Congress (MENA ICON 2025), organised by CFA Society Emirates, concluded in Abu Dhabi after two days of discussions bringing together more than 400 investment professionals, policymakers, and global finance leaders.

Focus on future of finance

The event explored the key forces shaping the financial industry, including artificial intelligence, private capital, and global macroeconomic trends. This year’s edition was described as the largest and most comprehensive since the Congress was first launched.

In a recorded message, H.E. Hamad Al Mazrouei, Chairman of ADGM Academy and Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, highlighted Abu Dhabi’s growing role in driving innovation, talent development, and sustainable growth within the region’s financial ecosystem.

The Congress concluded with a headline fireside chat featuring Ray Dalio, Founder and Mentor of Bridgewater Associates and Dalio Family Office. Dalio discussed global economic cycles, market resilience, and long-term investment strategies before a full audience.

AI and private capital themes

Sessions throughout the Congress examined the growing impact of artificial intelligence on investment strategy, risk management, and financial advisory services. Discussions also addressed the rise of private capital, venture investing, and the expanding role of family offices in the MENA region.
