UAE’s long Eid break sparks rush for staycations, hotel deals

UAE residents are expected to get a long break for Eid Al Adha, with the holiday likely to fall from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, based on astronomical calculations.

Combined with the regular weekend, the break could give many residents time off until Sunday, May 31, with work resuming on Monday, June 1.

The expected long weekend is already prompting interest in staycations and short domestic getaways, as hotels and resorts across the UAE prepare Eid holiday offers aimed at families, couples and residents seeking quick escapes without overseas travel.

From beach resorts and desert retreats to city hotels, the extended break is expected to boost local hospitality demand during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah

Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah is offering Eid staycation packages starting from Dhs650 per night, including half-board dining options and family-focused benefits.

Children under 12 can stay and dine free under the promotion, which also includes access to the resort’s beach and kids’ club facilities.

The resort has also introduced discounted rates for Marriott Bonvoy members, with packages including breakfast and loyalty rewards points during the Eid holiday.

Al Habtoor Polo Resort

Al Habtoor Polo Resort has launched an Eid Al Adha staycation package starting from Dhs499 per night, targeting residents looking for short breaks during the expected long weekend.

The offer includes breakfast for two, early check-in and late check-out, along with discounts on dining, spa treatments and fitness sessions.

Guests will also have access to activities including guided stable tours, swimming pools and cycling around the resort grounds.

Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai

Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai is introducing a series of Eid staycation offers focused on families, with rates starting from Dhs550 per night for UAE residents staying between May 25 and 31.

The packages include breakfast, access to the resort’s waterpark and beach facilities, children’s activities and entertainment programmes linked to the Eid holiday.

The resort is also offering “Stay 3, Pay 2” packages during the holiday period, alongside themed dining experiences and wellness offers.

Eid activities will include children’s workshops, sports sessions, movie nights and live entertainment across the property.

InterContinental Dubai Festival City

IHG Hotels at Dubai Festival City is marking Eid Al Adha with dining and staycation experiences at InterContinental Dubai Festival City.

Anise restaurant will host festive Eid lunch buffets during the first two days of the holiday, while the hotel’s staycation package includes room upgrades, dining benefits and shopping vouchers for guests staying during the Eid period.

Vida Hotels and Resorts

Vida Hotels and Resorts has launched a flexible Eid staycation campaign across several UAE properties, including Vida Dubai Mall and Vida Creek Harbour.

The offer includes breakfast, early check-in and late check-out, complimentary room upgrades and dining discounts, with children staying free during the holiday period.

voco Bonnington Dubai and Mövenpick Jumeirah Lakes Towers

voco Bonnington Dubai and Mövenpick Jumeirah Lakes Towers have announced Eid staycation offers running until the end of May, with room rates starting from Dhs250 and Dhs300 respectively.

Both packages include access to RIVA Beach Club, while selected offers include room upgrades, flexible check-in timings and discounted rates on additional bookings.

RIVA Beach Club is also launching Eid long weekend offers, including beach and pool access packages with food and beverage credits.

The venue will also run dining and beverage promotions throughout the holiday period aimed at residents spending the break in Dubai.
