Istanbul, Munich and Krakow attract UAE travellers

Travel searches for October departures show rising interest in several European destinations, according to travel marketplace Wego.

Searches for Istanbul increased by 14% compared with October 2025, while Munich recorded a 9% rise and Krakow saw a 7% increase.

The figures point to continued demand for international city breaks as UAE residents plan trips beyond the summer holiday period.

Istanbul flight and hotel costs

The average return flight booking value from the UAE to Istanbul reached approximately Dhs 2,171 in October 2026, up from Dhs 1,954 in the same month last year.

Average hotel rates in Istanbul stood at around Dhs 572 per night, according to Wego’s data.

The figures offer an indication of the costs travellers may face when planning an autumn getaway, although actual fares and accommodation prices can vary depending on travel dates and booking choices.

UAE travellers are booking slightly earlier

Wego’s data shows travellers from the UAE booked flights an average of 25 days before departure in October, compared with 23 days for the same period last year.

For overseas accommodation, the average booking window was 17 days.

Mamoun Hmidan, Chief Business Officer at Wego, said: “October gives us a useful view of how travel demand from the UAE evolves beyond the peak summer period. What matters is not only which destinations are attracting attention, but how prices are moving and when travellers are choosing to book. Looking at these signals together gives us a clearer picture of how UAE travellers are navigating choice, cost and timing as they plan their next trip.”
