Dubai-based airline flydubai will begin direct flights to Nairobi from October 2025, expanding its presence in East Africa with additional capacity to Kenya.
New Nairobi service
Starting October 15, flydubai will operate four weekly flights to Nairobi International Airport (NBO) from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB). The flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The carrier also confirmed that it will increase its service to Mombasa from four to seven flights per week beginning October 1, bringing its total flights to Kenya to 11 per week.
Strengthening UAE-Kenya ties
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said: “Kenya is an important market for flydubai, and we are pleased to strengthen our operations with the addition of Nairobi and the increased frequency of our service to Mombasa. These flights underline the importance of connecting Kenya to Dubai’s global aviation hub, enhancing access for trade, travel and tourism between our two countries. We remain committed to playing our part in supporting stronger economic and cultural ties between the UAE and Africa.”
With the addition of Nairobi, flydubai now operates to 12 destinations across Africa. Other cities in the network include Addis Ababa, Entebbe, Cairo, Dar es Salaam, and Zanzibar.
More options for travellers

Flight fares and classes
Return Business Class fares from Dubai to Nairobi start at Dhs 4,500, while Economy Class Lite fares begin at Dhs 1,700. Return fares from Nairobi to Dubai start at USD 2,000 for Business Class and USD 500 for Economy Class Lite.
Business Class passengers will have access to lie-flat seats and curated menus, while Economy passengers will have adjustable leather headrests and entertainment options onboard.
Nairobi, often referred to as East Africa’s commercial and cultural hub, is also known for its proximity to wildlife, with Nairobi National Park located just outside the city.
