Dubai has proven to be the leading destination for travellers using the Solartrip platform, with the city emerging as a popular spot following the New Year period.
According to Solartrip’s latest data, luxury accommodations are in high demand, particularly five-star hotels, which make up 52.2% of all bookings. Four-star hotels also remain a favorite, accounting for 22.7% of reservations.
The trend towards premium accommodations is clear, with only 12.8% of travellers opting for three-star hotels, while 10.6% choose non-starred options like apartments, guesthouses, or hostels. Two-star hotels are the least popular, making up just 1.7% of bookings.
Solo travellers, couples dominate the bookings
Solartrip’s data also highlights the preferences of travelers. Solo travellers and couples dominate the bookings, with 90.1% of hotel reservations made by adults without children. Solo travellers make up nearly half of these, at 46.9%, while couples account for 41.6%.
In terms of dining options, most travellers prefer flexibility, with 69.7% choosing accommodations without meal plans. Only 22.7% opt for breakfast, and 7.6% select half-board options.
When it comes to the length of stay, most visitors prefer shorter trips. Around 43.1% book for just one night, 37.1% for 2-3 days, and 15.8% stay for 4-7 days. Longer stays of over two weeks are rare, making up just 1.7% of bookings.
