Dubai’s real estate brokerage sector has seen a marked transformation in 2025, underlining its critical role in the city’s economic and regulatory landscape. The sector’s expansion was driven by increased market activity, a growing broker base, and the enhanced regulatory environment, which together improved the overall efficiency and service quality in real estate transactions.

According to the Dubai Land Department, real estate brokerage commissions surged to Dhs 13.59 billion in 2025, representing a 31% increase from the previous year. This rise in commissions was accompanied by a 54% increase in broker-executed transactions, which reached a total of 96,440. The data highlights the growing importance of brokers in facilitating transactions and enhancing market efficiency.

Rising female participation

The role of women in the real estate brokerage sector also saw substantial growth. Women’s participation in transactions rose by 49%, with 28,909 transactions conducted by female brokers. Additionally, the value of their commissions increased by 83%, reaching Dhs 2.98 billion. This progress underscores the key role women are playing in the sector and their ability to thrive in a well-regulated and inclusive professional environment.

By the end of 2025, the number of women working as real estate brokers reached 11,371, accounting for a significant portion of the 32,294 registered brokers in the sector. This shift reflects the sector’s ongoing expansion and its success in attracting a diverse range of talent, supported by a clear and robust regulatory framework.

Increased broker registrations

The number of new brokers joining the sector also saw a notable rise. A total of 13,083 new brokers registered in 2025, marking a 38% increase compared to 2024. This growth highlights the sector’s attractiveness as a career path and its ability to adapt to increasing demand.

Moreover, the number of registered brokerage offices reached 9,785, demonstrating measured growth while maintaining service quality standards.

Empowering Emirati talent

The Dubai Land Department continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the real estate brokerage sector, particularly through initiatives aimed at empowering UAE nationals. One such initiative is the Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme, designed to increase the proportion of Emirati brokers and provide greater opportunities for Emirati youth in the sector.

The launch of the Real Estate Brokers Incubator Programme, in partnership with Dubai Silicon Oasis and several academic institutions, further supports the growth of Emirati brokers. The program helps individuals transition from independent practice to establishing fully integrated real estate brokerage firms that adhere to global best practices.

These initiatives have shown tangible results, with an increasing number of Emirati brokers contributing to billions of dirhams in successful real estate transactions. This progress reflects Dubai Land Department’s strategy to develop national talent and ensure that UAE nationals play a leading role in the future of the city’s real estate market.
