Majid Al Futtaim has opened Explorers, a new indoor children’s destination at City Centre Mirdif designed for children aged one to 12 years and their families.
The venue combines indoor play areas with instructor-led workshops, offering activities focused on creativity, movement and practical learning under one roof.
Play zones
Explorers features three main play areas. Wildwood Treetops includes more than 20 interactive elements such as climbing structures, tunnels, towers and spiral slides. Little Acorns is designed for toddlers with age-appropriate play equipment, while River Play offers hands-on activities inspired by science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Learning activities
The destination also includes four workshops covering cooking, woodworking, public speaking and art.
Mamalu Kitchen offers cooking classes, while StuDIYo Lab introduces children to woodworking through guided projects. Confidence Lab focuses on communication and storytelling skills, and Picasso Artists provides art sessions including fluid art, resin art and tie-dye.
A pottery studio is also available, allowing visitors of all ages to paint ceramics while enjoying food and refreshments.
Ignace Lahoud, Chief Executive Officer, Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment and Lifestyle, said: “We are constantly looking for new ways to create meaningful experiences that bring families together. Explorers at City Centre Mirdif reflects our commitment to developing innovative concepts that combine entertainment, learning, and creativity in a way that feels both engaging and enriching. Today’s families are seeking experiences that go beyond traditional play, and Explorers has been designed to nurture curiosity, encourage imagination, and inspire discovery through immersive, hands-on experiences. We are proud to introduce a destination where children can learn, create, and explore while making lasting memories with their loved ones.”
Explorers will also host a series of summer camps in the coming weeks, offering additional activities for children during the school holidays.
