Building upon the achievements of the previous year’s community run, this edition of the Green Run witnessed an increase in overall participation.

Both the 3km and 5km runs were actively participated, showcasing Dubai Investments’ continuous strides towards fostering community engagement and advancing its mission of promoting a greener and more intelligent future with each passing year.

Participants of all fitness levels, ages and abilities spent their morning on the running course, after which they enjoyed multiple environmentally friendly activities, entertainment, sustainability gifts and free giveaways for all runners.

Cash prizes

Cash prizes were distributed to top 20 finishers in the male, female and youth categories, while community awards were handed to school groups and an organisation with the “Best Green Message.”

In light of the UAE government’s ban on single-use plastic bags from 2024, Dubai Investments encouraged runners to bring their own reusable water bottles, while also having set-up recycling bins strategically throughout the run’s premises.

Launched in 2022, the annual event by Dubai Investments aims to support the Smart Dubai initiatives aligned with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, towards promoting a green economy for sustainable development.
