The fourth season of the DP World International League T20 will begin on December 2, 2025, coinciding with UAE National Day, and will run until January 4, 2026, tournament organisers announced.
The Gulf region’s biggest T20 cricket league has shifted from its usual January–February window to avoid a clash with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled for February–March 2026.

Chairman of ILT20 and Vice-Chairman of the Emirates Cricket Board, Khalid Al Zarooni, said: “We are delighted to confirm that the DP World International League T20 Season 4 will commence on the UAE National Day – Eid-Al-Etihad – which is one of the most important days on the UAE calendar.”
He added that the launch on National Day is a meaningful gesture to celebrate the country’s diversity and love for cricket.
Ideal window for players
David White, CEO of DP World ILT20, explained the rationale behind the new tournament dates: “Following extensive discussions with all our stakeholders, we believe the 2 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 tournament window is ideal for the DP World International League T20 Season 4.”
He added that finishing before the World Cup would allow players enough time to prepare for national duties, and the adjusted schedule would help teams access a broader pool of players.
A total of 34 matches will be played across the six-team tournament in Season 4.
Season 3 concluded in February 2025 with a dramatic final where Dubai Capitals defeated Desert Vipers at a packed Dubai International Stadium. The tournament featured international stars such as Sam Curran (player of the tournament), Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, and David Warner.
