Emaar has announced an open call for UAE-based artists and designers to create a new projection for the iconic Burj Khalifa.
The winning entry will be showcased on the building’s massive façade, with the designer receiving a cash prize of Dhs 100,000.
Open to UAE talents
The contest is open to all UAE residents and invites original projection videos and animations that reflect innovation, creativity, and the culture of Dubai. Submissions will be accepted from May 6 to 26, 2025.
Participants must submit a video up to three minutes long, designed to work with the Burj Khalifa’s advanced projection system. Technical specifications, including resolution and format requirements, are available on the official website: www.burjkhalifa.ae/open-call.
Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar, said: “At Emaar, we believe that talent knows no boundaries. Burj Khalifa stands not only as a symbol of human achievement but also as a canvas for creativity and innovation — open to everyone with a talent to share.
“Through initiatives like this, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing creativity and providing a platform where ideas can reach new heights. We are proud to open our doors to every dreamer, artist, and innovator, offering them the opportunity to contribute to our collective story of achievement.”
The winning design will be projected on the world’s tallest building, giving the artist a rare chance to present their work to a global audience. Alongside the prize money, this offers unmatched visibility to both emerging and experienced creatives.
