SKH Family Office has completed the acquisition of The Cove Rotana Resort in Ras Al Khaimah from Orascom Development Holding, marking a new investment in the emirate’s hospitality sector.
The transaction was carried out through Cove Holding Limited, a subsidiary of SKH Family Office registered with Abu Dhabi Global Market. SKH Family Office itself is registered with the Dubai International Financial Centre. The deal followed the completion of all contractual, financial and regulatory requirements.
Resort acquisition
The Cove Rotana Resort is one of Ras Al Khaimah’s established beachfront hospitality assets. Following the acquisition, the property is expected to undergo a phased development programme aimed at improving facilities, guest services and sustainability measures.
According to the company, the plans align with Ras Al Khaimah’s wider tourism strategy and the UAE’s national goals to grow the hospitality and tourism sector.
Rotana management
Rotana will continue to manage and operate the resort under a renewed hotel management agreement. The arrangement is intended to maintain operational continuity and service standards while development plans are implemented.
Investment strategy
SKH Family Office said the acquisition forms part of its long-term strategy to expand its presence in the luxury hospitality sector and invest in premium tourism assets across the UAE.
Saqr Kamal Hassan, Founder and Chairman of SKH Family Office, said: “The completion of this acquisition represents an important strategic milestone in SKH Family Office’s journey to build and develop high-value hospitality assets in the United Arab Emirates. The Cove Rotana Resort is a distinguished asset, offering a unique location, exceptional character, and promising growth potential.
“Our vision is to elevate the resort into a leading destination for leisure and family tourism experiences in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, in line with the Emirate’s ambitious development plans and the national tourism strategy.
