Dubai’s Zabeel Park will be the venue for a major Diwali celebration on November 16, as Emirates Loves India hosts a free event for the public, offering a day filled with music, dance, food, and cultural experiences.
The celebration, running from 11 am to 11 pm, is expected to attract large crowds from across the UAE, including families, Indian expatriates, and Dubai residents looking to mark the occasion of Diwali.
India’s top entertainers in Dubai
Among the key attractions is a lineup of live performances by some of India’s most popular entertainers. Bollywood rapper Badshah, playback singer Jonita Gandhi, and the indie rock band Avial will take to the stage, providing free entertainment throughout the day. Comedian Sundeep Anand will also perform, adding a touch of humor to the event.
In addition to the musical acts, the celebration will feature a range of cultural activities. Visitors can enjoy traditional Indian dance performances and Hindustani classical music, offering a deep dive into India’s rich artistic heritage. A cultural parade is also planned, showcasing the diversity of the Indian community in the UAE.
Over 40 stalls for the foodies
Food enthusiasts will have plenty to explore, with more than 40 food stalls serving a variety of Indian dishes from across the country. Attendees can expect everything from street food to regional specialties. Alongside the food, 8 cultural stalls will display Indian crafts, textiles, and other traditional items.
The day will conclude with an awards ceremony, recognizing the achievements of Indian nationals and community leaders in the UAE. The awards aim to honour those who have made significant contributions to the local community.
This free event is expected to bring together people of all ages and backgrounds, creating a festive atmosphere to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights.
