More than 10,000 participants from over 60 countries are expected to attend the Sharjah Investment Forum 2026 on October 14 and 15, as investors, businesses and policymakers gather to discuss changes affecting the global economy.
The ninth edition of the forum will take place at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre under the theme “Building Adaptive Economies.” The event will feature more than 140 activities, including 80 business meetings, panel discussions, keynote sessions and workshops.
Focus on investment and business
The forum will examine how changes in trade, technology, capital flows and supply chains are affecting businesses and investment decisions.
More than 80 speakers and over 20 exhibitors are expected to take part. The programme will focus on four areas: economic adaptability, technology and smart industrial solutions, capital flows and supply chains, and the future of communities and economic growth.
The business meetings will bring investors, companies and small and medium-sized businesses together to discuss financing, expansion and potential partnerships.
British entrepreneur and investor Simon Squibb is among the speakers. He will discuss how businesses can respond to continued economic change and adapt their models.
Indian entrepreneur and AI developer Varun Mayya will also speak about how artificial intelligence is changing the way businesses are built, products are developed and companies grow.
Sharjah FDI rises
The forum comes as Sharjah reports growth in foreign direct investment. The emirate attracted Dhs 7.74 billion in FDI across 142 projects in 2025, while the number of projects increased 45% year on year. The projects created 5,673 new jobs.
The event is organised by the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah) in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment.
Marwan Saleh Alichla, Coordinator General of the SIF Committee, said the forum aims to bring governments, investors and businesses together to discuss changes in technology, trade, capital and supply chains.
The 2026 edition will examine how these changes are affecting investment and business, while also looking at the infrastructure, technology and economic conditions needed for future growth.
