Aramco Digital has launched a new nationwide industrial communications network in Saudi Arabia, aimed at supporting secure and reliable connectivity for critical sectors across the Kingdom.
The National Industrial Network operates on the 450 MHz spectrum and is designed specifically for industrial use, rather than public telecom services.
Industrial network
The network has been developed as a mission-critical infrastructure to support sectors that require continuous and dependable communications. It offers wide-area coverage and is built to operate in demanding environments, including energy, logistics, transport and heavy industry.
According to Aramco Digital, the network focuses on security, resilience and flexibility, allowing industrial operators to maintain reliable communications for key facilities and assets.
“The National Industrial Network has been designed to support the advanced operational requirements of modern industrial environments, aimed at enhancing efficiency, strengthening business continuity, and enabling a new class of highly reliable industrial communications. Together with next-generation mission-critical smart radios, the network aims to help build a future-ready industrial infrastructure that enables real-time data insights, supports industrial digital transformation, and aligns with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030,” said Nabil Al-Nuaim, CEO of Aramco Digital.
Built for industry
Unlike public mobile networks, the National Industrial Network has been purpose-built for industrial operations. It is intended to support connectivity for critical assets, supply chains, logistics operations and autonomous mobility systems.
The network is designed to enable real-time monitoring, automation and safety systems, helping organisations improve operational efficiency and maintain performance in complex industrial settings.
Digital solutions rollout
Alongside the network launch, Aramco Digital is introducing a portfolio of industrial digital solutions powered by the 450 MHz spectrum. These include sector-specific connectivity packages and a new range of mission-critical smart radios designed for industrial use.
The devices are built to meet industrial safety standards and support features such as extended battery life, enhanced sensing capabilities and on-device data processing to support operations in remote or high-risk environments.
The network supports a wide range of industrial internet of things applications. These include asset condition monitoring, fleet tracking, environmental and air-quality sensing, video monitoring, smart metering and infrastructure control.
Aramco Digital said these capabilities are intended to improve transparency, automation and efficiency across industrial and selected public sector operations.
Vision 2030
The National Industrial Network is positioned as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader industrial and digital transformation agenda under Vision 2030. The company said the network is designed to support automation, data-driven decision-making and advanced digital services across key sectors.
As demand for secure and reliable connectivity increases, industrial organisations across the Kingdom are relying more heavily on dedicated networks to support safety, efficiency and long-term economic development.
