5,000 UAE workers get free ice cream in Hotpack-Igloo initiative

Hotpack, a UAE-based sustainable packaging company, partnered with Igloo Ice Cream to launch a 14-day initiative delivering ice cream to over 5,000 outdoor workers and delivery riders across Sharjah and the Northern Emirates.

The campaign, which ran from August 20 to the first week of September, visited labour camps, roadside worker hubs, and Hotpack’s facilities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Umm Al Quwain.

This effort was part of Hotpack’s ongoing “Hotpack Happiness” CSR programme, which focuses on community and employee well-being. It followed a similar initiative in partnership with the Dubai Charitable Association last month.

Recognising frontline workers

“At Hotpack, we believe that true success is measured not only by business growth but also by the positive impact we create in our communities,” said Abdul Jebbar PB, Group CEO and Managing Director of Hotpack. “This campaign was about more than ice cream; it was about expressing our gratitude to those who work tirelessly outdoors during the peak of summer.”

Zainudeen PB, Group COO & Executive Director of Hotpack, added, “Together, these initiatives reflect Hotpack’s belief in sustainability with purpose, where caring for people, communities, and the planet go hand in hand.”

An Igloo official commented, “Providing workers and riders with a refreshing treat was a simple yet powerful way to share moments of joy. We are proud to join hands with Hotpack in contributing to the community and creating a positive difference in people’s lives.”

Both companies expressed plans to continue collaborating on socially driven projects, highlighting the role of simple acts in building stronger communities.
