RRS International Development has officially begun construction on the highly anticipated NH Collection Ras Al Khaimah Al Marjan Island Hotel & Apartments, marking a significant milestone for the mixed-use project.
$100 million project
Developed in partnership with Minor Hotels, the $100 million project brings the globally recognized NH Collection Hotels & Resorts brand to Al Marjan Island, a first for the region. The development follows the success of the brand’s earlier residential offering in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Rakesh Mirchandani, Co-Founder of RRS International Development FZ LLC and Partner at RRS Capital Management LLC FZ, highlighted the project’s rapid success: “This groundbreaking is more than the start of construction—it’s the beginning of a new chapter for this incredible project and a celebration of the overwhelming interest we have received. Oversubscribed at launch, we are grateful for the investor confidence shown in both the NH Collection brand and RAK’s emergence as a world-class lifestyle destination.”
Blending luxury with innovation
The development will feature 121 hotel rooms and 36 branded apartments, offering a unique fusion of tropical luxury and desert mystique. Designed to highlight the natural beauty of its surroundings, the project will offer sea views, high-end interiors, and premium amenities.
The design, created by RRS and executed by Arkiplan Consulting Architects & Engineers, draws inspiration from ocean waves, providing a seamless connection to both the desert and the sea. The interiors by B8 Architectural Prospective Drawings Services LLC incorporate lush greenery and open spaces, giving the space a fresh, vibrant feel.
The project involves a range of expert teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. HMK Engineering Consultants will serve as the Architect of Record, while Innovate Project Development LLC has been appointed as the Project Manager. Atlas Star Piling Foundation LLC is responsible for the enabling works of the project.
Already, the NH Collection Ras Al Khaimah Al Marjan Island Hotel & Apartments has garnered recognition for its innovative design and potential. The project has won multiple awards, including Best Mixed-Use Development and Best Mixed-Use Architecture at the 2025–2026 Arabian Property Awards. Additionally, it was recognized as Best Hospitality Project at the Architecture Leaders Awards and nominated for Best Design Concept at the 2025 Commercial Interior Design (CID) Awards.
Ras Al Khaimah’s emerging tourism hub
