Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai Healthcare City has been designated a Centre of Excellence in Surgical Proctology by the US-based Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), marking a significant step in the hospital’s specialised care services.
International recognition
The designation highlights the hospital’s role in delivering high-quality care for patients with colorectal, anal, and pelvic floor disorders. The certification process evaluated clinical standards, patient outcomes, and staff expertise.
Dr. Valentina Giaccaglia, Deputy Medical Director and Consultant Surgeon at Mediclinic City Hospital, led the initiative. She also became the first female surgeon globally to be awarded the SRC’s Surgeon of Excellence in Surgical Proctology title.
Team-based care approach
