In the first half of 2024, the airport recorded a 12.4% increase in total passengers, welcoming over 8.3 million travellers compared to the same period last year. During the same six-month period, Sharjah Airport also saw a 12.2% rise in aviation movements, with a total of 52,702 flights. This increase not only supports passenger travel but also contributes to the overall growth of the airport’s operational capabilities.

Sharjah Airport has made notable strides in cargo handling as well. Cargo operations grew by an impressive 40.7%, reaching 97,200 tons in total. Additionally, sea-air cargo operations increased by 17.5%, totaling 7,400 tons. This growth underscores the airport’s vital role in supporting the logistics and supply chain sectors.
