BOLD Technologies and My Aion Inc. have announced a strategic partnership to develop AION SENTIA Cognitive City, a large-scale AI platform aimed at enhancing the management of complex urban systems.
The initiative will be based in Abu Dhabi and rolled out under a $2.5 billion Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.
AION SENTIA
The AION SENTIA platform will use My Aion Inc.’s proprietary AI core engine, MAIA, to deliver smart infrastructure solutions across critical sectors such as mobility, energy, education, healthcare, and digital services. The first deployment is set to begin in the UAE, with global expansion planned.
Launch event in Abu Dhabi
More than 100 business and tech leaders attended the launch event held at Emirates Palace Hotel, including representatives from Sequoia Capital, ADNOC, Amazon, G42, TikTok, and several diplomatic missions. Attendees also included officials from Abu Dhabi’s public sector and Bold Holding’s private office.
UAE chosen as base
Abu Dhabi has been selected as the project’s global headquarters, a decision driven by the city’s strong digital infrastructure, supportive regulatory environment, and cybersecurity standards. The move supports the UAE’s broader digital transformation and AI development goals.
“This initiative will support job creation for UAE nationals, foster local innovation, and contribute meaningfully to the national AI ecosystem,” said Thani Al Thani Al Falasi, CEO of BOLD Technologies. “We’re excited to work alongside My Aion Inc. to bring this ambitious vision to life.”
Daniele Marinelli, CEO of My Aion Inc., added: “Relocating our global operations to Abu Dhabi marks a new chapter for our team. The UAE offers the infrastructure and institutional support needed to scale responsibly and strategically.”
The partnership includes plans to collaborate with UAE-based universities to launch training and upskilling programmes in artificial intelligence and digital technologies, supporting the growth of the national workforce.
