Dubai is set for another major retail event as the Great Dubai Summer Sale (GDSS) returns from July 18 to August 10, offering citywide discounts and prize draws as part of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2025.
Major deals citywide
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the GDSS will feature discounts of up to 90% across participating retailers during selected flash sales. Shoppers can expect limited-time promotions and exclusive offers over the three-week campaign.
A key highlight is the Shop, Scan and Win raffle, open to anyone spending Dhs300 or more at participating stores. Shoppers can scan their receipts for a chance to win either Dhs1 million in cash or a new Nissan Patrol.
Loyalty rewards and raffles
Skywards Everyday members will earn 25% bonus Miles on all eligible purchases and could win a share of 1 million Miles on spends of Dhs100 or more through Skywards Everyday partners or the Skywards Miles Mall UAE.
In addition to retail discounts, GDSS will roll out a variety of themed flash sales including the 12-Hour Sale, Daily Surprises, jewellery-specific promotions, and store-specific events such as Dubai Hills Mall’s One Day Sale and Al Jaber Optical’s Shop for Free Weekend.
Malls offer added perks
Retailers at major malls are offering bonus incentives. Majid Al Futtaim malls, including City Centre Mirdif and Deira, will award up to 20x SHARE Points, and Mall of the Emirates will offer 5% cashback on qualifying purchases. Tickit members can also win Dhs10,000 in rewards across various partners.
Several high-value prize draws will run alongside GDSS. Dubai Festival City Mall is offering a Polestar 4 LRSM, while Dubai Outlet Mall will raffle a Soueast S06 SUV.
Citywide DSS campaigns
The GDSS is part of a larger DSS programme, which continues through August 31 with multiple ongoing raffles. These include the Dubai Shopping Malls Group giveaway of nine cars and the Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group Raffles, with 30 gold bars to be awarded. The Visa Jewellery Programme will also reward 50 winners with a share of Dhs175,000 in vouchers.
Dubai Summer Surprises 2025 is supported by sponsors including Commercial Bank of Dubai, Emirates Airline, Majid Al Futtaim, ENOC, e&, talabat, and several leading retail groups such as Al Futtaim Malls, AW Rostamani Group, and Merex Investment.
