Union Coop to open two new branches in Dubai

Union Coop is preparing to open two new branches in Dubai as part of its ongoing expansion efforts aimed at enhancing retail access in residential areas across the city.

Union Coop Al Khawaneej branch 

The first new outlet is located in Al Khawaneej 2 on a commercial plot developed in partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MRHE).

According to Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, the branch aligns with government efforts to provide integrated services in new residential communities.

The Al Khawaneej branch spans over 70,000 sq. ft. and will include a hypermarket, nursery, various retail stores, and 87 outdoor parking spaces. Construction and finishing work have been completed, and the handover process is currently underway with the relevant authorities.

Union Coop, Wadi Al Safa

The second location will open in the Rukan Community project in Wadi Al Safa 7. Covering 19,892 sq. ft., it is designed to serve a diverse population in the area. This branch will feature a hypermarket, retail outlets, and parking facilities to improve accessibility and convenience for local residents.

The branch is in its final stages ahead of the official launch,” said Al Hashemi.

With the opening of the Rukan branch, Union Coop aims to serve a promising residential area located near several key communities.”

Strengthening retail network

These two outlets will be Union Coop’s 29th and 30th branches in the UAE. Al Hashemi noted that the company remains committed to expanding its footprint and providing essential goods and services to neighborhoods throughout Dubai.

The new branches have been designed with a modern and innovative approach to provide a unique and convenient shopping experience for residents,” he added.
