Union Coop strengthens fresh produce supply
The Dubai-based retailer sources fresh fruits and vegetables from a network of domestic and international suppliers to offer shoppers a wider selection throughout the year.
Its partnerships with 10 UAE farms support local agricultural production while giving consumers greater access to locally grown produce.
The daily supply of approximately 29 tonnes also reflects the scale of the cooperative’s fresh produce operations.

Union Coop imports fresh produce from 21 countries, including Spain, the Netherlands, India, Italy, Kenya, New Zealand, Ecuador, the United States, Lebanon, France, Mexico, Egypt, Poland, Uzbekistan, China, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Peru, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.

Focus on quality and affordable prices
Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, said meeting changing consumer needs remains a priority, particularly in terms of product quality, affordability and convenience.
The cooperative regularly reviews product quality and prices against prevailing market rates to maintain a balance between quality and affordability.
It is also assessing opportunities to expand its supplier network and introduce additional produce varieties.
Supporting local UAE agriculture
Union Coop said its partnerships with domestic farms form part of its efforts to strengthen relationships with local growers and support UAE agricultural production.
The cooperative plans to continue developing its fresh produce departments through local sourcing, international supply partnerships and regular improvements to its product range.
