UAE-based startup 2ND INNINGS, which offers wellness and social programs for elderly residents, has received official certification from Ma’an – the Authority of Social Contribution, designating it as a trusted social enterprise.
The platform has also been listed on the My Dubai Community App, increasing its accessibility for seniors and their families.
Recognized social enterprise
The Ma’an certification positions 2ND INNINGS as a government-recognized organization operating within UAE regulatory standards. The recognition supports the startup’s role in helping improve the quality of life for senior citizens through digital and in-person wellness services.
The startup’s presence on the My Dubai Community App allows broader access to its services, aligning with national initiatives like the “Year of Community 2025” and the UAE’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These include goals on health, education, gender equality, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities, and partnerships.
Senior wellness programs
2ND INNINGS runs an affordable membership model through its initiative “I Care, We Care”, offering seniors daily fitness classes, social meetups, and community-based activities. Monthly membership costs are Dhs 49 or Dhs 19 when billed annually.
Programs include online yoga and meditation classes tailored for older adults, virtual meetings organized by language and ethnicity, and in-person gatherings for games and social activities in local neighbourhoods.
Supporting inclusive communities
“We believe that the second phase of life can be its most joyful and meaningful chapter. Achieving Ma’an certification during the UAE’s Year of Community inspires us to further strengthen our mission and contribute to a more inclusive, age-friendly society,” said Sonam Bhayani, Founder and CEO of 2ND INNINGS.
Co-founder Yash Bhayani has also joined the initiative, supporting its expansion across the country.
2ND INNINGS is inviting families, corporate partners, and local organizations to take part in its work by engaging with its programs and supporting an age-inclusive society in the UAE.
