In a major step toward smarter urban mobility, Salik, Dubai’s exclusive road toll operator, has expanded its digital reach by enabling automated parking payments at 18 new locations through a partnership with Parkonic, the UAE’s leading private parking platform.
This latest rollout means drivers can now enjoy a fully contactless parking experience where fees are automatically deducted from their Salik account — no tickets, barriers, or physical payments needed.
Seamless, smart and contact-free
The system is designed to simplify parking for drivers across Dubai and Sharjah. Upon entering a Parkonic-enabled facility, vehicles are detected automatically. If no prior payment is made via the Parkonic app or QR code, the fee is directly debited from the user’s linked Salik account upon exit.

Here are the 18 new private parking sites where Salik integration is now live:

How it works
The integrated parking system offers users three simple ways to pay:
Via the Parkonic mobile app
By scanning an on-site QR code
Automatically through Salik (if no prior payment is made)
Once a vehicle exits, the system calculates the fee and completes the transaction seamlessly.
Expanding smart parking across the UAE
Parkonic currently manages over 150 smart parking locations across the country, including prominent destinations such as:
The Beach – JBR
Museum of the Future – Dubai
Saadiyat Beach – Abu Dhabi
Al Qasba – Sharjah
Palm Jumeirah
This initiative follows Salik’s 2024 agreement with Parkonic to integrate its eWallet system across a wide network of parking sites, further advancing the UAE’s vision for smart, sustainable infrastructure.
