The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, has reached a significant milestone, welcoming its three millionth visitor just four months after opening.
Since its opening in mid-April, the UAE Pavilion has become one of the most visited national pavilions at the event. The Pavilion’s immersive theme, Earth to Ether, showcases the country’s heritage and ambitions across innovation, sustainability, and cultural dialogue.
Daily visitors have engaged with interactive exhibits and programming that reflect the UAE’s contributions in fields such as space exploration, healthcare, and renewable technology.
Cultural exchange
The Pavilion’s Youth Ambassadors have played a central role in guiding guests through the experience, promoting cultural exchange and dialogue. Their involvement has been credited with helping the Pavilion reach its high attendance numbers.
Shihab Alfaheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, said: “Reaching the three million mark is a huge milestone for the UAE Pavilion. It is a cherished achievement, and speaks to the global resonance of the UAE’s story and our shared aspirations for the future. Every visitor who walks through the Pavilion brings their own voice to our collective journey. Together, we are shaping a narrative that crosses borders, embraces diversity, and accelerates progress. With two months remaining, we want more guests to experience our pavilion.”
Architecture and design
The Pavilion was designed by the Earth to Ether Design Collective, a group of UAE, Japanese, and international collaborators. Its structure, built using sustainable materials including palm waste, features 90 columns inspired by the date palm tree.
Inside, five thematic zones guide visitors through stories of innovation and tradition. Sensory elements and hands-on installations enhance the experience, encouraging repeat visits.
With Expo 2025 set to conclude on October 13, the Pavilion continues to offer a full schedule of cultural programming, including talks, performances, food showcases, and workshops. It remains a key destination for visitors seeking to learn about the UAE’s values and its vision for the future.
