Cities across the UAE have begun marking the 54th Eid Al Etihad with large public celebrations, bringing national colours and festive displays to major landmarks, streets and gathering areas.
Citywide decorations
Government buildings, malls and popular public spots have been decorated with flags, lights and themed installations.
Illuminations in different styles have created a panoramic scene across several urban areas, blending traditional elements with modern designs. Organisers say the displays are meant to offer residents and visitors a shared visual experience during the national occasion.
Public light shows
Public squares and outdoor venues are hosting interactive light shows, giving crowds additional spaces to join the celebrations. These activities form part of a wide programme set out for this year’s event.
The organising committee for the 54th Eid Al Etihad earlier announced that this year’s celebrations are taking place under the theme “United.”
The committee invited residents across the seven emirates to join community events and activities prepared for the holiday.
The official Eid Al Etihad ceremony will be screened at celebration sites around the country. Audiences can also watch the live broadcast from Abu Dhabi in cinemas, on local TV channels, and through the Eid Al Etihad YouTube channel and official website.
