The Sharjah Digital Department (SDD) has introduced an updated version of the SEWA bill payment service through its digital platform, “Digital Sharjah.”
This upgrade aims to enhance how users interact with their electricity, water, and gas bills, making the process simpler and more efficient.
Upgraded SEWA bill payment service
The revamped service now boasts a modern, user-friendly interface. Users can:
- View and Manage Bills Easily: Check outstanding amounts on their accounts, whether linked via Emirates ID or entered manually.
- Access Bill History: See up to 10 previous bills in PDF format.
- Resolve Issues Quickly: Submit complaints or objections about bills directly through the platform.
Sheikh Saud Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, emphasized the department’s dedication to offering top-notch digital services. This upgrade reflects the department’s commitment to efficiency and user satisfaction, aiming to make digital interactions more streamlined and reliable.
User feedback
The improvements are based on suggestions and feedback gathered from users. This approach ensures the platform evolves according to real user needs and preferences.
To help users navigate the new features, SDD shares instructional videos in both Arabic and English on their social media channels. These videos provide step-by-step guidance on using the updated service.
The Digital Sharjah platform offers more than 60 services from various government and private entities. Users can choose from multiple payment options, including:
- Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay
- Payment Cards: Direct debit and credit cards
- Tahseel Digital Payment System
For added convenience, users can download the Digital Sharjah app on iOS and Android devices, allowing them to manage their transactions securely and efficiently.
