His Excellency Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP), has officially announced the launch of a groundbreaking flying car project.

The announcement was made during a high-level business meeting hosted by the Park, according to Sharjah 24.

The event welcomed prominent entrepreneurs and representatives from diplomatic missions across the UAE, highlighting Sharjah’s growing influence in the global innovation landscape.

Driving smart mobility through international collaboration

Speaking at the event, Al Mahmoudi emphasized that the flying car initiative represents Sharjah’s commitment to pioneering smart and sustainable mobility solutions. The project is being developed in partnership with academic and economic institutions in the Netherlands, aligning with the emirate’s broader vision of integrating advanced technologies into everyday life.

Strengthening UAE–Netherlands ties in Innovation

In a statement to Sharjah 24, Al Mahmoudi elaborated on the strategic collaboration with Dutch universities, research centres, and technology companies. The goal, he explained, is to bridge the academic and economic sectors between Sharjah and the Netherlands in order to incubate and implement cutting-edge innovations.

The CEO underlined the importance of such business gatherings in reinforcing relationships with both local and international stakeholders. These events serve as platforms for dialogue, collaboration, and investment—key elements that enhance the Park’s ecosystem focused on research, development, and technological entrepreneurship.
