Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will introduce four new metro link bus routes and make enhancements to several existing routes starting August 30, 2024. These changes aim to improve the commuting experience and help passengers reach their destinations more efficiently.
The new routes will replace the current Route 31 with two separate routes: F39 and F40. Route F39 will travel between Etisalat Bus Station and Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1, operating every 30 minutes. Route F40 will connect Etisalat Bus Station with Mirdif, Street 78, also with a 30-minute frequency.
In addition, Route F56 will be replaced by Routes F58 and F59. Route F58 will run from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City, while Route F59 will go from Dubai Internet City Metro Station to Dubai Knowledge Village, both operating every 30 minutes.
Route 21 will be split into two routes, 21A and 21B. Route 21A will travel from Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, and Route 21B will go in the reverse direction. This adjustment aims to simplify the route system and enhance service coverage.
On the same day, Route 61D will merge with Route 66, and Route 95 will merge with Route 95A. The revised Route 95A will start at Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront, and cover the Jebel Ali Industrial Area. Route 6 will be shortened to run between Oud Metha Metro Station and Dubai Healthcare City.
Other adjustments include modifications to Route 99 to include JAFZA One and Route F31 to add new stops in The Greens. Route F45 will gain new stops in Al Furjan, while Route F54 will no longer stop at JAFZA One. The intercity Route E700 will start from Etisalat Bus Station instead of Union Bus Station for trips to Fujairah.
The RTA will also enhance 35 bus routes to ensure more reliable service, including Routes 6, 20B, 26, 36A, 36B, 50, 66, 83, 88, 95A, 96, 99, 320, and several others. Passengers should review these changes and plan their travels accordingly.
