Etihad Airways held its first KHUTWATY 2025 career fair in Abu Dhabi, targeting UAE Nationals interested in joining the airline’s expanding workforce.

The event took place at Yas Conference Centre and attracted more than 3,000 Emiratis.

KHUTWATY 2025

KHUTWATY 2025 was designed to connect ambitious UAE Nationals with career pathways in the aviation sector. Attendees had direct access to Etihad’s executive leadership, recruitment teams, and detailed briefings on six flagship talent programmes: Cadet Pilot, Cadet Technician, Airport Management, Bedayati, MBA Graduate, and Emerging Talent.

These programmes aim to prepare Emiratis for roles that demand leadership, accountability, and performance, aligning with the airline’s broader growth strategy.

Etihad leadership views

Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said: “We are entering one of the most ambitious chapters in Etihad’s journey. To deliver on our vision to be the airline everyone wants to fly, we need the best minds and strongest drive. KHUTWATY is about selecting future leaders: Nationals who think strategically, act with intent, and are ready to push this company – and this country – forward.”

Dr. Nadia Bastaki, Chief People, Government and Corporate Affairs Officer at Etihad, added: “KHUTWATY 2025 is designed to connect ambitious UAE Nationals with real opportunities. We are not simply offering employment – we are opening the door to those ready to take on responsibility, make an impact, and help shape the future of Etihad and the UAE.”

Insights and skill-building

The career fair included talks from Emiratis who have advanced through Etihad’s ranks, providing real-life examples of growth within the company. Senior leaders led panel discussions explaining each programme’s expectations and structure.

Workshops were also held to improve candidates’ readiness for recruitment. Sessions featured digital hiring tips, personal branding guidance with LinkedIn, and communication coaching in collaboration with Mawaheb – Department of Government Enablement.

Etihad emphasized that it seeks Emiratis who are prepared to take on responsibility and play a meaningful role in the airline’s future direction.
