A new wellness concept in Jumeirah is offering residents a traditional Russian-style banya experience, combining steam rituals, cold therapy and relaxation in a private setting.
Located in Jumeirah 1, La Villa Banya operates from a three-level villa featuring six private banya rooms. Each space is designed to provide a secluded environment, moving away from the fast pace of city life to a quieter, nature-inspired setting.
The experience is based on the Russian banya tradition, where guests move through a cycle of steam sessions, cold plunges and rest. A key element is the venik ritual, where trained bath masters use bundles of birch, oak or eucalyptus branches during steaming sessions to support circulation and relaxation.
Each private unit includes a steam room, cold plunge pool, relaxation area, massage space and a dining section. The setup caters to individuals, families and small groups looking for a private wellness experience.
The visit typically ends with a tea ceremony using a traditional samovar, along with light snacks such as sushki. Guests can also order a selection of Russian dishes, including items like caviar. La Villa Banya adds to Dubai’s growing wellness sector, offering a culturally inspired alternative to conventional spa treatments.
