e& UAE has deployed 5G-Advanced (5.5G) connectivity at Ciel Dubai Marina, which is set to become the world’s tallest hotel, marking a new step in the expansion of next-generation network infrastructure in the UAE.
The deployment provides high-speed, low-latency indoor connectivity across the hotel and is designed to support increasing demand for digital services in hospitality environments.
Network upgrade
The new network will support services such as high-speed internet browsing, video calls, content streaming, connected guest services, smart building applications and operational communications within the hotel.
e& UAE said the deployment is aimed at improving connectivity in high-traffic hospitality locations where reliable network performance is essential.
Ericsson partnership
The project was delivered in collaboration with Ericsson using the company’s Radio Dot System (RDS), an indoor 5.5G solution designed to provide high-capacity coverage while maintaining the visual design of premium hospitality spaces.
According to e& UAE, the technology is intended to deliver seamless connectivity without affecting the aesthetics of the property.
Abdul Rahman Al Humaidan, Senior Vice President of Access Network Development, e& UAE, said: “This latest achievement demonstrates our dedication to providing landmark destinations with world-class 5.5G infrastructure. This deployment supports richer guest experiences and more efficient connected operations, while reinforcing the UAE’s position as a leading hub for next-generation digital infrastructure.”
The company said the deployment forms part of ongoing efforts to expand advanced connectivity solutions across hospitality, enterprise and smart community projects in the UAE.
